Where Can U Buy Chocolate Covered Strawberries

There are two things you need to pay close attention to when making chocolate covered strawberries. 1) correctly melt your chocolate. 2) make sure your strawberries are super mega ultra dry. So how does one go about melting chocolate the correct way? There is several ways.

Chocolate hates water and will curdle if you add water to it. When making chocolate covered strawberries it is super important that the strawberries are super mega ultra dry. Wash them, drain them and then take a paper towel to dry each strawberry individually. I recommend leaving the green parts on the strawberries for easier dipping into the chocolate. Make sure the green leaves are patted dry too, otherwise drops of water might run down the dry strawberries.

Chocolate covered strawberries are one of the fanciest little bite-sized treats that are literally loved by all. And they are actually so simple and easy to make with just 2 ingredients -- strawberries and chocolate. These beautiful desserts are perfect for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or any special occasion you can think of, or just whenever you are craving something sweet and decadent.

Strawberries: Use firm and ripe strawberries that are completely red. When preparing them, allow them to come to room temperature (take them out of the refrigerator and place on the counter for about 20 minutes). Wash and dry them before dipping into melted chocolate. The strawberries have to be really dry or else the chocolate will not stick on. They have to be SUPER dry.

How to store: Store chocolate covered strawberries on a plate uncovered at room temperature (away from sunlight) for a few hours, or for up to one day in the refrigerator. Note that chocolate covered strawberries cannot be frozen. The chocolate will become too hard to bite, and as it thaws, the strawberries will get mushy and the chocolate will get watery.

Last year on my Instagram Stories I shared how to make chocolate covered strawberries, and y'all went BONKERS over it! Is it just me, or does nothing say Valentine's Day more than chocolate-covered strawberries? They are not only a classic V-Day treat but are also one of Bubba's favorites of all time. But, let's be straight here, if you're buying them from a store, you're basically dipping into your emergency fund. They can be so dang expensive! $3+ for a tiny strawberry? I think not.

All you need to make your chocolate covered strawberries are a handful of ingredients you can find at any grocery store and a little bit of time, which makes it the perfect project for anyone looking for some last-minute ideas!

This is one of those recipes that you really should make on the same day you plan on eating them. Chocolate covered strawberries don't last long. Funny things happen to fresh fruit covered in chocolate.

If you can't make these chocolate covered strawberries on the same day you plan on eating them, I would plan on making them no more than one day ahead of time. Seriously, though, they are so easy to make that you should just carve out ten minutes to make them on the day you plan on eating or giving them. It will be worth it.

I actually recommend NOT putting chocolate covered strawberries in the fridge. If your house is on the warmer side, like really warm, and the chocolate won't firm up at room temperature, then YES - you can put them in the refrigerator.

What happens in the fridge, however, is that chocolate wrapped around strawberries will begin to sweat and get wet and soggy. A quick chill is fine, but the longer you keep them in there, the more wet and gross they will get over time.

Store bought versions are So. Much. Money. For real. The markup on chocolate covered strawberries in unreal, and most of the time you'll be getting conventional strawberries unless you pay up the nose for organic strawberries.

Do yourself a favor and make them yourself. That way you have total control over the quality and freshness of both the strawberries and chocolate. That not only means making your own chocolate covered strawberries will taste better, but they will be fresher and cheaper than anything you can buy.

As you can see, I'm a bit of a minimalist when it comes to chocolate covered strawberries. I dip them in my chocolate and coconut oil mixture, let them set, and call it good. I don't need, nor do I want, anything fancier than that.

It couldn't be easier making these chocolate covered strawberries. Simply melt the chocolate in the microwave for easy dipping and let the strawberries set at room temperature or in the fridge if they won't be consumed within 12 hours.

The type of chocolate to use for chocolate covered strawberries should be a good melting chocolate that makes it easy to dip. It should be free of added colors and have minimal ingredients. Look for packages that mention "melting chocolates" or "melting wafers".

Otherwise, chocolate covered strawberries need to be refrigerated if it will be longer than 12 hours before consumption. Store them in an airtight container in a single layer so they don't touch. They last up to 48 hours in the fridge but are best when consumed the day of.

These Chocolate Covered Strawberries were delightful! Your tips and tricks really helped me - I had not idea about not storing the strawberries in the fridge before hand because of condensation, so I feel like I learnt so much. We used dark chocolate and then a little white chocolate, but I love your idea about candy melts, so I am going to try that next time!

Since these strawberries are made with just strawberries and chocolate, the chocolate quality is pretty important. Not to mention that you want a smooth melted chocolate that will dry firm enough and not be tough to dip into.

To drizzle the melted chocolate onto the strawberries, you can either add it to a ziplock bag and snip off a small piece of the corner, or you can add it to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip (I used Wilton tip 3) and drizzle it that way. I personally like the piping bag because I feel like I have a little more control.

No. If the strawberries are cold when they are dipped in the chocolate they will condensate under the chocolate as they come to room temperature. This causes the chocolate to pull away from the strawberry and make a bit of a mess.

Start by washing your strawberries, then placing them on a paper towel or cloth towel to dry. Because water will make chocolate seize, it is very important to dry the berries completely before dipping in the chocolate sauce.

Coat in any toppings you wish, then place the berry on the prepared tray. Once all strawberries are coated with chocolate, let them sit at room temperature to set the hard chocolate coating. Do not chill in the refrigerator, which could cause condensation to form on the berries.

If desired, melt some white chocolate chips, peanut butter, Coconut Butter, or almond butter. Use a spoon to drizzle it over the hardened chocolate strawberries. Or pour the melted chocolate into a plastic bag, cut a tiny bit off the side of the bag to make a small hole, and squeeze the chocolate out in a swirl or your preferred design.

The chocolate berries can be made ahead of time by a few hours or up to a day. If serving the day they are made, it is best to leave uncovered and to not refrigerate. However, if the chocolate covered strawberries will be sitting out for over eight hours, they should be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for freshness. 041b061a72
